Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
The BLS for HCP course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED on adults and children, and relief of FBAO in responsive and nonresponsive victims. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for both in and out of the Hospital.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Refresher Course
Students must have a copy of current BLS HCP card, and if expired must be within 90 days of expiration.
Course length: 3.0 approx.
Target Participants for BLS HCP Course
Healthcare providers, such as physicians; nurses; paramedics; EMT's; respiratory therapists; physical and occupational therapists; physician assistants; residents, fellows, or medical or nursing students; aides; patients in a wide variety of settings, and other allied health personnel.
Heartsaver CPR Course
The Heartsaver CPR course is a modular CPR course that teaches rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. This program teaches rescue breathing with and without the use of barrier devices. This course does not teach the use of AED's in adults.
Heartsaver CPR (all ages) teaches CPR and relief of choking in the adult, infant and child. Course length: 5 to 6 hours. Heartsaver CPR (adult module) teaches CPR and relief of choking in the adult. Course length: 3 hours. Heartsaver CPR (infant and child module) teaches CPR and relief of choking for infants (birth to 1 year) and children (1 to 8 years).

Target Participants for Heartsaver CPR Course
Those with a duty to respond, such as employees in the workplace, daycare workers, baby-sitters, police, airline personnel, security guards; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac arrest, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR.
Heartsaver CPR/AED Course
The Heartsaver AED couse teachs the basic techniques of adult CPR and the use of an AED. Child AED and infant/child CPR may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in cPR and give first aid for choking in responsive victims. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of 3 major emergencies: heart attack, stroke and choking.
Course length: adult 2.5 hours approx. Adult AED &Infant/Child 3.5 hours approx.
Target Participants for Heartsaver CPR/AED Course
Those with a duty to respond, such as police, airline personnel, security guards, and employees in the workplace; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death; and other rescuers who may need to respond to a cardiac emergency and need to learn how to operate an AED.
Heartsaver First Aid
The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches resuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. The Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED course provides a complete health and safety training solution for first aid, adult CPR, and AED. Optional modules include child CPR and AED, and infant CPR, and environmental emergencies. Course length: Heartsaver First Aid 3 to 4 hours, Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED 6 to 7 hours. Pediatric module (infant/child CPR & child AED) 3.5 hours.
Target Participants for Heartsaver First Aid Course
Those with a duty to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community, as well as those who want to learn first aid, cPR, and AED skills. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer's efforts to comply with OSHA regulations
(ex. corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards).
Heartsaver CPR in Schools
The Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course is designed to teach both adult and infant/child CPR to middle- and high-school students. The course presents information about the AHA adult and pediatric Chains of Survival, signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults. The course also addresses signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common causes of fatal pediatric injuries, and reduction of sudden infant death syndrome. The course has been organized into 40- minute blocks that can easily be integrated into a typical middle- or high- school class schedule.
Course length: Adult AED and Child/Infant 3.5 hours approx. Adult and Child CPR/AED 2.5 hours approx.

CPR Family & Friends
CPR for Family and Friends is a CPR awareness program that teaches skills in CPR and relief of choking in the responsive victim. The course presents information about the AHA adult Chain of Survival and signs of heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking in adults; information on the AHA pediatric Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of the most common fatal pediatric injuries, and reduction in the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. Course length: All ages: 4.5 hours
Course length: All Ages 2.5 hours approx. Infant only 1 hour approx.
Target Participants for Heartsaver CPR in Schools Course School children and family members of patients at risk for sudden cardiac death, and those who want to learn rescue skills for loved ones.
*Family members, friends and members of the general community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. This program also can be a non-credentialed option for middle-and high-school students.
